Pressed Flower Greeting Cards

These lovely greeting cards are handmade from mulberry paper and pressed flowers. Each card comes with a hand made press seal envelope and has a blank insert strip for a personal message. Available in white or natural brown.

Sizes include large, medium and small and there are bookmarks available as well. The large card envelope is a standard size envelope for Australia Post and measures 180 x 130 mm.

These gift cards are sourced from an organisation assisting ethnic minorities and poor communities with self-development activities in Nan province, Northern Thailand. The programs focus on handicraft production and marketing, village development and information about social issues.

The goal of these programs is to improve living standards and promote self-empowerment of people in Nan.
The organisation is locally managed, acts as a cooperative, and applies the principles of fair-trade. Members are consulted on the fair price of their work and are paid without any delay. It is self-funded by the sale of crafts.

Since each card is hand made there are individual differences. In production, each person will work on their own design. Then each batch is mixed with others and then bundled into packs of 10 for at the time of packaging so there will be a random variety of patterns. I do not order specific designs but I do find that in a large order there is sufficient variety.

Of course either brown or white can be requested. A typical order is a mixture with mostly white cards and a scattering of brown cards. Many retailers find it is best to trial the mix and order accordingly.

I work closely with the producers to ensure standards and quality so that customers will be more than happy to buy these cards again and again. People really like the hand made craft involved in making these cards. The pressed flowers make this a unique greeting card.
